St. Louis

St. Louis is a mid-western river city with a long and colorful history. Heralded as the gateway to the West, it is a city whose spirit has possessed the strength to send Lewis and Clark and Pere Marquette into the wilderness and fly Charles Lindbergh across the Atlantic. For years it was the last citified stop for fur traders, wagon trains, and pioneers. It proudly boasts names such as Ike and Tina Turner, Scott Joplin, Chuck Berry and Stan Musial among its favorite sons and daughters. Visitors enjoy free admission to the St. Louis Art Museum, the Jewel Box, The St. Louis Zoo and Union Station. Laclede's Landing is a favorite stop as well as the Missouri Botanical Gardens, the Budweiser Brewery and the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial.
